Always Be On Time
Watch repair at Don's Jewelry & Design includes so much more than simply changing batteries: we also work on cleaning, polishing, and resetting your watches. We work on all high-end brands, whether or not you purchased your watch from us. If you need your watch resized to fit your wrist, we are always able to add or remove links. Wearing an improperly sized watch attracts a greater risk of damage because it is not snugly on your wrist and therefore more likely to be dented or scratched. To keep your watch running smoothly and looking smooth for years to come, bring it in for our watch servicing and battery replacement service.
Reset the Clock on your Jewelry
Fine jewelry is more versatile and customizable than generally known. Upgrading to a new engagement band but keeping the same brilliant diamond or replacing a cloudy sapphire with a clearer one are just two examples of how you can upgrade your jewelry by resetting your stones. By working with a knowledgeable jeweler and a beautiful selection of varying gemstones and settings, it's easy to enhance your fine jewelry. Modernizing old pieces, adding new details, and replacing gemstones make your old or inherited jewelry more wearable, giving you more enjoyment while maintaining what matters to you most.
Repairs Require Trust and Expertise
When entrusting your precious jewelry and family heirlooms to a jeweler, it's important to choose a jeweler with a stellar reputation for professionalism and expertise. Fine jewelry is easy to scratch, dent, or harm if repair tools are not used properly, devaluing the jewelry and damaging your pieces. Avoid negative experiences altogether by entrusting your diamonds, pearls, and more to a local independent jewelry store. Local jewelers are invested in their customers much more than chain jewelers and seek to ensure every customer has a positive experience. Draw on the years of trust and expertise at Don's Jewelry & Design for all your jewelry repair needs.
A (New) String of Pearls
Even the most beautiful string of pearls will need to be restrung from time to time - as the necklace is worn, the pearls work with gravity to stretch the cord. When you start to see the unknotted string in your pearls, it's time to bring it in to be restrung. Pearls are strung on thin silk cord that breaks easily after a year or more of use. If you wear your pearls often, they should be restrung yearly; with less frequent wear they can last up to three years before the silk string starts to discolor and weaken. Prevent any unfortunate loss of pearls by being proactive in your jewelry care and set a yearly appointment with your jeweler to take care of your pearls and all your fine jewelry.
